Vegetable production in Bangladesh -- Commercialization and rural livelihoods

AVRDC conducted a project in Bangladesh from 1991-2000 to overcome constraints in vegetable production. Numerous varieties and other technologies were introduced. An earlier assessment measured the impact of increased vegetable production at the farm level. This study analyzed the effect beyond the direct farm level. Included are analyses of the impact of vegetable commercialization on marketing channels, supporting input industries, and off-farm employment. Socio-economic parameters of eggplant pest control in Jessore District of Bangladesh
