Training is a big part of AVRDC's contribution to agricultural development. The Center conducts three main courses each year:

1. The Training Course on Vegetable Cultivation and Seed Production, conducted at headquarters and sponsored by the International Cooperation and Development Fund

2. The five-month Regional Training Course in Vegetable Production and Research, held at AVRDC's Asian Regional Center, Kamphaengsaen, Thailand, and

3. The five-month Regional Training Course on Vegetable Production in Southern Africa, conducted by AVRDC's Regional Center for Africa in Arusha, Tanzania.

4. Apart from these courses, the Center accepts researchers, undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and other interested persons by special arrangement.
