Erysiphe symptoms


     

Damage Symptoms

Leaf symptoms of Leveillua taurica consist of chlorotic blotches or spots, with scattered areas of necrosis. A white powdery growth may be found on the underside of the leaves. Heavily infected leaves dry and fall off.

For species of Erysiphe, white powdery growth may be abundant on upper leaf surfaces.


Conditions for Development

This disease may develop during warm or hot weather, and during dry or rainy periods.


Control

Fungicide applications may be required during periods of severe disease pressure. Cultivars vary in disease susceptibility.
