Introduction
Bacterial Wilt of Tomato

tomato crop

Tomato is an important crop grown worldwide both for fresh market and for processing.

A disease called bacterial wilt is a major constraint to production of tomato in the tropics and subtropics. Bacterial wilt (BW) occurs on other solanaceous crops, such as pepper and potato, as well as nonsolanaceous crops such as groundnut, ginger and strawberry.
