Damage Symptoms

Tips of branches die back. Careful inspection will reveal silvery, spine-like fungi with dark heads. The fungus may also kill flowers and flower buds.


Conditions for Development

Extended rainy periods and high temperatures.


Control

Very little information is available, but fungicidal sprays probably can reduce disease damage.
